It was a dream carried quietly in the heart of Stephanie Kozak, a lifelong educator, intuitive guide, and mother who believed that learning should be as natural and alive as the forest itself. She envisioned a place where education wasn’t confined by walls, where children could learn through wonder, rhythm, and relationship. A space that honoured not only the mind, but also the body and spirit of each child.
That seed took root in 2018, when Stephanie followed the whispers of her heart and stepped away from the public system to create an old way of learning. One grounded in the wisdom of nature, the interconnectedness of community, and the sacredness of every living being. What was once inspired by Stephanie’s two youngest children now continues to be inspired by her grandchildren Mother Earth’s Learning Village has blossomed into a living, breathing ecosystem of learning. A place where generations grow, learn, and reconnect with the rhythm of the Earth together.
Here, the forest is the classroom, the soil is the teacher, and curiosity is the curriculum. Children learn to listen to the wind in the trees, the rhythm of the seasons, and the quiet voice within themselves. Together, we cultivate academics through experience, empathy through connection, and creativity through play and purpose.
The Village was built upon three sacred pillars: The Mind, The Body, and The Spirit
Reminding us that learning is not separate from living. The Mind grows through curiosity and reflection. The Body strengthens through movement, nourishment, and connection to the Earth. The Spirit flourishes through compassion, gratitude, and the joy of community.
Each day in the Village is a circle of hands, hearts, and hopes, rooted in the understanding that education is not a destination but a lifelong journey of becoming.
Together, we remember what it means to learn with the Earth, not just about her.
Mother Earth’s Learning Village continues to grow through every child’s laughter, every parent’s faith, and every seed planted in love.
What began as one woman’s dream has grown into a timeless story.
A living legacy of love, learning, and gratitude, written by all who walk gently upon this land and nurture its spirit for generations to come.

Mother Earth is our greatest classroom. Her rhythms, cycles, and seasons remind us how to listen, adapt, and live in harmony with all living things.

Every child carries innate wisdom and imagination. We honour their curiosity as the spark that shapes both their learning and our community.

We walk together as a village supporting, uplifting, and learning from one another. In togetherness, we find belonging and strength.

Our spirit weaves through everything we do. Through mindfulness, creativity, and love, we nurture a sense of purpose and connection to something greater.
At Mother Earth’s Learning Village, learning unfolds as naturally as the seasons themselves. Our curriculum is not confined to walls or textbooks it breathes, evolves, and responds to the rhythm of the Earth. Each season offers its own lessons, rooted in both the cycles of nature and the growth of the child.
In Autumn, we turn inward harvesting wisdom, grounding routines, and reflecting on gratitude.
In Winter, we rest, dream, and nurture inner light through storytelling, creativity, and stillness.
Spring calls us to awaken to plant seeds of intention, curiosity, and renewal.
Summer invites celebration, community, and the joy of abundance.
Every experience from tending the garden to caring for animals, from art and movement to storytelling and scientific inquiry. This rhythm connects children to the greater web of life.
The land becomes both classroom and teacher, guiding holistic development of mind, body, and spirit.
This living curriculum honours each child’s natural rhythm of growth, their connection to the Earth, and their role as a co-creator in the story of our Village. It is a way of learning that doesn’t simply teach about nature — it teaches with nature, through nature, and as nature.
